About me

Abhishek Choudhary is a dynamic software engineer with expertise in Python, C++, and PostgreSQL. With a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, he excels in data engineering, ETL, and data analysis and software development using Django. Currently an Associate Software Engineer at Blue Optima, Abhishek specializes in building integrations, data pipelines, and impactful dashboards on Grafana. He also actively works as a part of the R&D team at Blue Optima, conceptualizing and prototyping groundbreaking new products and features. His experience at Novartis strengthened his skills in enhancing medical data integrations. Outside of work, Abhishek's passion lies in building creative side projects and technical research. With a keen interest in photography and playing video games, he seeks new opportunities to apply his expertise and drive innovation.

Gene-powered Lung Cancer Prediction (published)

First-author of a research publication in collaboration with professors and medical practitioners to detect lung cancer in individuals. Developed a novel ensemble classifier to predict cancer and its type using feature combinations of XRCC1 gene polymorphism.

Human Pokemon Image Translator

A Tensorflow 2.2.0 implementation of a cycleGAN that converts images of humans into Pokemon and vice-versa. I scaled the dataset size from 1k to 10k images by using fan-made art in addition to the original images.

Built a web-app for low-light image enhancement, under the mentorship of professors from Trinity College, Dublin and TIET, Patiala. Developed a data -driven ensemble model for identifying the best possible enhancement technique to apply on a given image. Implemented multiple Image Quality Assessment (IQA) techniques to ensure high-quality results.

Developed a real-time mask (using MobileNetV2) and temperature detector, that uses video and thermal input. Built a user-friendly GUI, later integrated with hardware to deliver a standalone product.
